front handspring, back handspring, & back tuck

so, an update about my gymnastics class, which is amazing! i'm mainly doing tumbling, but also working on my strength, in general, for things like rings and stuff. it's so cool. tonight, i learned how to do a back tuck and threw myself into a "foam pit" backwards, which was quite the adrenaline rush. i have learned the techniques for front and back handsprings as well. my form leaves quite some work to do, but practice makes...a successful solo one day...perhaps

update about school: still busy as hell, but two courses down and a mid-term next monday in the hardest course of the quarter: cardiovascular. eek. and i guess i should consider those five or six other classes i have...31 credits of 2nd year-med school is tres difficile.

coolness, though: matt's coming this weekend! he hasn't been here since before our house looked like a shit hole in august, and he'll be able to see brian and others that he didn't get a chance to see. aside from the studying we'll have to do independently, but together, i made reservations at this amazing-sounding restaurant that is down madison a few blocks from the house with quite the collection of tapas and vino called harvest vine...excited if you couldn't tell...and since he likes bowling, i'm thinking of taking him to this place i went this past weekend for a housemate's birthday, which is VERY seattle. coolest billiard/bowling/bar that may have ever been created. very swanky, which isn't usually the adjective one uses to describe any of the components of this place...interesting, its name is "the garage." hm...

well, onto reading and paper-writing for my AIDS elective.
