happy new year! 2005--yee-dawgy!

i must say i had a fabulous christmas break especially bringing in my birthday and the new year with the core four in denver. good times. highlights: getting trashed on my birthday (and getting free drinks from the bartenders), skiing in winter park (and getting wiped out by a snowboarder--bastard), being in an actual "city" for new year's eve, spending time with gregle's family (i love the russells), and being stuck in texas, again, because of a missed flight (go hotel bar food).

This is going to be a very, very interesting year.

topic of the day: resolutions.

so, it's funny, i think. random people make random resolutions to better themselves in the new year. as if it takes the addition of a unit digit to the year makes one become better, yah? it's okay, i'm guilty too, i suppose. i remember i used to have all of these resolutions that i think jesus, himself, would have a hard time sticking too (yah yah, he's perfect...but you get it).

i saw a movie over the break at tivoli, this independent film theater, in denver with greg, april, and clare called what the bleep?!? do we know. aside from more epithets derived from romtha, the master thinker (i guess you have to watch the film do understand the complexity that is romtha), it was really provocative. it was all about this quantum mechanics, biology, what is reality? business. it was good--it really was. but it talked about good and bad and how they're really just pointless, or man-made artificial assignments. it sort of talked about it in terms of religion, but applies to morality in general, really. i mean who really decides what's good and bad. this guy (in the film) said it's more about "evolving yourself" and not "devolving yourself," or something to that nature.

well, it sort of made me think. i've evolved over my time in college. i really have. i mean aside from making some close friends, i think i've grown spiritually, and emotionally, and mentally. maybe not physically...i'm still my little ole self, but ish aiight.

i guess my words of wisdom are passing on the words of wisdom from the film. try to evolve yourself in this new year. i really am going to try. cough cough. it's four months to the day that we springhillians gradumutate from this place. it's time we put our best feet forward and give it our all and still live it up. make a commitment to become fabulous (hehe--what a gay word) and to speak ghetto only in appropriate times and places and to love yourself as much as you can and exude that love in such a way that it knocks people over when you're in their presence.

and write more in your blog.
