well, i'm exhausted and am going to bed in a few (it's only 9:30). but, i had a fantastic weekend. let's first premise with the fact that i didn't have an exam to study for, so i did nothing school-wise, and it was exactly what i needed.
halloween night, i dressed up as a political pumpkin (see pictures below). i went over to my friend tania's house for some fun times and good beer before going to my own party that went in a weird two-wave kind-of-night. some friends came over and we basically chatted and laughed. they left by 11 and then my med school friends came over and we apparently felt the need to throw back to college-party times with a rousing game of beer pong. i, apparently, never like losing because i threw down and won all the games i played. oh, competitiveness serving me well, once again. anyway, i chatted with marcus and kate until 5AM (intoxicated, naturally...) discussing what the definition of "intimate" was. seriously, drunk.
last night, i went to kate's in sammamish for a house-warming. more drinking games and was there until about 4AM, when i was sober enough to drive with marcus back to seattle. but, got to see a friend i hadn't seen since moving here, so that was nice.
and today, determined not to do work still, i went shopping with my friend dana north of seattle at a VERY large mall, and to nordstrom rack, to which i hadn't never been. successful in terms of getting professional clothes; not successful at being the best budgeter. and we had a nice dinner at p.f. chang's, also a place i'd never been. very good food. although, dana and i were confused by the sexuality of our server. seattle servers are sexually confused, i'm convinced, which makes for confused patrons.
it's november! wow.
