i'm in medical school...

well, i'm currently not in medical school, i'm in spokane, wa (eastern washington) and it's gorgeous, at least the weather at the very least. beautiful day yesterday...75 and sunny, and i went to "pig out in the park," an event for local vendors to promote their delicious food. the highlight was chocolate-dipped cheesecake with caramel, chocolate chips, and pecans. definitely low-cal and healthy, as well.

but to re-cap my "first week": it was downright delightful. it definitely made for long days of 8-5 information and sessions, but it was organized, the professors were phenomal, and the administration was helpful. hmm. i think i'm not going to have to drop out after such a "challenging" first year, to put it diplomatically. we also had 8 hours of examining different clinical cases in various specialties and a full day of rheumatology, which was much more interesting than i had thought it would be.

but, i'm spending labor day weekend out of the city, and that's nice, as well. catching up on sleep and resting before the bulk of 2nd year really decides to charge.
