work hard, play hard.
i'm exhausted. after surviving my tests, the all-day, non-stop work/class/play is making me tired. i'm taking the evening off (even though i'm behind in endo, and need to "understand" pharm), to watch the simpsons, and then head to bed.
this past weekend, though, i had a great saturday amidst my final on monday and biked the burke-gilman and sammamish river trail with three friends to woodinville to sample some wines and have some beer and grub at the red hook brewery. it was awesome and a much needed break in the freight-train of information that drives in one ear and out the other taking brain particulate along with it. it was around 35 miles of biking and we definitely enjoyed a mountain of nachos and beer until it was dusk, with only two headlamps...hmm...still fantastic, though.
i'm standing firm on my philosophy to take one day a week and do something fun and NOT do work. this weekend, i'm finally meeting up with kate from college/alaska/jvc who is only 30 minutes away in sammamish now, but we haven't seen each other since we both moved down to WA a month or so ago. but, her family is from puyallup, which is like an hour south. her dad got us tickets to the state fair, which according to kate, is the 6th biggest fair in the U.S. good times, i hope. plus, i'm spending the night there saturday, so i'll get out of the city!
i hope to paint my room this weekend as well, but that nagging sense of having to do work is always around, which is just that...nagging.
well, off to enjoy more of my favorite yellow cartoons...
