holy bejeezum, it's well into the new year and yet i fail to contribute to society with offerings of my exciting life via my bloggy mcblog.

i seriously was just thinking of anything funny i had heard lately to get you hooked, once again, on my life. cue matt: he comes into my room holding isaac asimov shorts, sits down and says, "i read a good short story while sitting on the john...i got a little carried away...so did my bowels...."

all in all, second semester is getting off to a pretty typical start. we just started the fourth week with three exams coming up, and of course, i haven't done much in the way of studying. in fact, my pathology text is begging to be read, and i give it a glare like the ugly red-headed stepchild it is. pah on reactive oxygen species and its oxidative stress. it's giving me oxidative stress.

for those interested (which reasonably might be no one), i have quite the fun load: anatomy and embryology, microbiology and infectious disease, pathology, bioethics, neuroscience, biochemistry, and clinical medicine. i only loathe two profs, but still can't bring myself to skip the wretched horror show that is the waste of several hours of my life a week.

alaska's been cold. who would've thought? i went back up to chena hot springs a couple of weekends ago. always a good time to scald oneself in sulfurous agua. been skiing and snowshoeing a bit, which is always a nice time. hmmm...our house is disbanding this summer. six five three will be parting ways, but in some ways i'm super excited of the notion that i'll be seattle-bound and in the city by august.

if you're looking for distractions in life, gregle recently reminded me of the joy that is bubble trouble at miniclip.com. and for a throwback to the '90s, my so-called life...you know, that show with claire danes being all teenage-angsty and stuff is on abc.com...medical school, wah?
